Howdy! I’m Ashley Marie Koebke (pronounced Keb-key), an equine, rodeo, and western lifestyle photographer based in San Antonio, Texas. I come from a long line of cattle ranchers and coffee farmers, so I’ve always felt right at home around horses, cattle, and dirt.

Because of this, I grew up with a deep appreciation for the western way of life… especially horses, rodeos, and the wonderful people in that environment. I loved it so much that I wanted to share the best moments of this lifestyle with everyone else and do my part to keep this special culture alive.

That’s why I became a photographer and created AMK Wild West Photography. My mission is to capture the exciting moments, both in and out of the arena, so that those high-adrenaline and heartfelt memories stand the test of time.

“Ashley is one photographer I will 100% use for not only professional photos, but for any individual work. Not only do you get the best job in the quality and time she puts into your photos, but the personal relationship I have developed with Ashley is outstanding. She is a very kind and sweet individual who will sit and have a conversation with you and get to know you to provide an even more outstanding service. You can see the pride and love she puts into every photo and the eye she has for the sport of rodeo allows the viewers to appreciate it from all aspects. From the workers to the contestants and the spectators themselves. You will not be disappointed when working with AMK Wild West Photography, and I myself will proudly support and hire her for any future work!”

“Thank you for coming out and capturing the western community. It’s slowly fading away but it’s people like you who keep it alive. I rode in high school but my main horse sustained a career-ending injury so I quit barrel racing and sold all my trailers and tack. Eight years later, I’m in Law school and the horse I currently have just fell into my hands. I wasn’t looking to start running again but some friends were persistent that I give this horse a chance. He has been such a blessing. But because I know how unexpectedly a horse’s career can end - or perhaps even mine - I purchase a photo from every race I go to. They are memories I will cherish forever.”
